Alessio De Vecchi — Visual Co-Creative Director | Developed ANYMA with Matteo from the beginning
Section 32a UrhG ("Bestseller Clause"): Show fees grew from ~€50-100k to €1M+ (10-20x increase) — grounds for contract modification under German law.
Section 32d UrhG: Statutory right to annual accounting — never provided to Alessio.
Exact figures unknown — Alessio was never included in financial meetings. Context: Before ANYMA, Matteo's fees were split 50/50 with Carmine Conte (Tale of Us), so his share was ~€50k. Current ANYMA fees reportedly exceed €1,000,000+ per show. This represents potentially 10-20x growth — triggering German law protections under Section 32a UrhG.
Multiple articles crediting Alessio as "co-founder" and "creator" of ANYMA are being systematically removed (404 errors). Articles with strongest attribution language are disappearing while the project gains mainstream visibility.
While ANYMA existed as a concept before Alessio joined, he developed the visual identity, characters, and aesthetic that define it today. The project was not formed — it took shape when Alessio arrived in 2021. 21+ sources document his role as Visual Co-Creative Director.
951+ project files (C4D, AEP, SSP) copied to personal Google Drive. All four main characters documented: EVA (90 file groups), LILITH (89 file groups), ADAM, and SYREN. 38 file groups contain "ALESSIO" in filename — direct attribution by the team. The foundational visual language and complete Sphere residency work is fully documented in these files.
"For example 'Human Now' the song was written by myself with Magnus, all while we were simultaneously developing the closing sequence visuals with Alessio De Vecchi."
"A huge part of this world was shaped by Alessio De Vecchi, a brilliant visual artist, whose vision was foundational to the show."
"When I joined this project in April 2024, Anyma and Alessio de Vecchi had already been developing this concept called Genesys which is the first and third act of the Sphere show."
"Visual Director Alessio De Vecchi has been a core partner since the project's inception, working alongside Milleri to ensure the music and visuals are created as one cohesive canvas."
"The VFX work was all led by Alessio De Vecchi who Anyma has been working with since the very beginning."
"His long-standing collaboration with Alessio had already established a strong foundation for this project."
"De Vecchi, who first met Milleri after he pestered him on Instagram for a meeting, has been involved since Anyma's inception, beginning with the robot Eva head that would inevitably grow to include a body."
"In 2021, De Vecchi teamed up with Matteo Milleri, one half of the famed techno duo Tale Of Us, to co-found Anyma."
"Collaborations include art direction by visual co-creative director, Alessio De Vecchi, executive production by head creative and stage designer, Alexander Wessely..."
One day BEFORE the official announcement, the teaser video "THE END OF GENESYS" was posted — prominently featuring Alessio's robot character.

When the Sphere Las Vegas residency was announced — featuring EVA, the character Alessio created — Alessio wasn't even tagged in the announcement.
Evidence details:
This triggered a major fallout between Alessio and Matteo. EVA — Alessio's creation — is THE IMAGE of this 1.1M-liked announcement, yet he receives zero credit.
Evidence: Instagram Announcement Reel — Screenshot captured
Pattern: Alessio creates the IP (EVA) → IP gets featured in major announcement → Alessio erased from credits.

Alessio's robot creation generated 1.6+ million likes in 2 days. He was not tagged or credited in either post.
Analysis of @anyma social media reveals a selective credit pattern: Alessio is tagged on regular posts, but NOT on high-visibility viral content.
| Platform | Regular Posts | Viral/Major Posts |
|---|---|---|
| @alessiodevecchi tagged — almost always | Sphere announcement (1.1M likes) — NOT tagged | |
| Twitter/X | @alessiodevecchi credited on NFT drops, show announcements | Major announcements — NOT credited |
Examples of Twitter posts WITH credit:
Pattern: This proves Anyma knows how to credit Alessio and does so regularly — but deliberately omits credit on posts that reach mainstream audiences (millions of views). This is evidence of intentional selective erasure.
The oldest posts on @anyma Instagram show a clear pattern: 100% of posts feature Alessio's EVA robot or visual aesthetic.
| Period | Visual Identity | Alessio's Work Featured |
|---|---|---|
| 2021-2023 (Founding) | EVA robot, cyborg aesthetic | 100% of posts |
| 2024-2026 (Pivot) | Matteo's personal image | Reduced presence |
The strategy pivot was attempted but unsuccessful. The brand's visual identity — what makes ANYMA stand out in the EDM space — was built entirely by Alessio. Without his characters and aesthetic, ANYMA has no distinctive visual language.
Evidence: Screenshot of oldest @anyma posts — 9/9 posts feature Alessio's creations
Without Alessio's knowledge, Matteo hired Alexander Wessely and promised him the "Creative Director" title — a title that belonged to Alessio. The entire visual language was built on Alessio's aesthetics.
Alessio had to escalate the situation right before the Sphere shows to get his credit restored. Wessely was forced to publicly acknowledge Alessio's foundational role in multiple interviews.
Ironically, Wessely's own statements now serve as third-party validation:
Alexander Wessely has now RESIGNED.
Even after resigning, Wessely's self-appointed "Creative Director" title was never retracted in press:
"He asked me to be his creative director."
Alessio is reduced to "the robot guy":
"[Alessio is] art director and the lead visual artist... they established the base aesthetic of Anyma, which is a robot."
Wessely then implies the project lacked depth before him:
"It felt very natural and organic to invite this sense of humanity, emotion and skin to the project."
Reality check:
ANYMA had the opportunity to collaborate with Travis Scott. The collaboration ultimately did NOT succeed. Despite being creative partners who typically engage with potential collaborators together, Matteo:
Pattern: Systematic exclusion of Alessio from high-profile relationships — even when the collaboration fails, Alessio is kept out of the process.
After the Wessely incident, a Variety interview was arranged. The interview covered ANYMA's foundational concepts — creative vision, aesthetic philosophy, character development.
When published, the article only included technical details (screen resolution, etc.). Creative vision content was omitted.
Pattern: Reframe Alessio from "the artist who built the visual world" to "the technician who handles screen resolution."
The Wikipedia article systematically minimizes Alessio's foundational role:
The Weeknd mini-tour: Wikipedia credits Matteo as "Creative Director" — but reality: Wessely was Creative Director, Alessio was Art Director and Producer. Alessio not mentioned.
Irony: The page image shows EVA — Alessio's creation — towering over the crowd at the debut.
Verified via Wayback Machine (12 snapshots checked, March 2026): Alessio was completely absent from Wikipedia for over 15 months:
Significance: The Sphere residency was announced July 2024 (1.1M+ likes, EVA on the Sphere). Shows debuted September 2024. Wikipedia had no Alessio credit until ~9 months after the announcement and ~7 months after the debut. His own creation (EVA) was the face of the biggest electronic music residency in history — and he didn't exist on its Wikipedia page.
Archived snapshots: Jan 2025 (no Alessio) | Mar 31 2025 (still no Alessio) | Apr 2025 (first credit — minimized)
Beatportal equates Alessio with Wessely as mere "visual collaborators":
"Eva and the latter added characters Lilith, Syren, and Adam, have guided millions of dancers around the globe through their world that Anyma created alongside visual collaborators Alessio De Vecchi and Alexander Wessely."
Reality check:
Pattern: Articles using "co-founder" or "creator" language are systematically being removed (404). These URLs still appear in Google search results but return 404 when accessed.

| February 2026 | AEDEN World Tour announced — ZERO credit to De Vecchi in 28+ articles | Complete erasure |
Critical finding (February 2026): ANYMA announced the AEDEN World Tour 2026, including a Coachella headline slot. Across 28+ articles covering the announcement, Alessio De Vecchi is mentioned ZERO times — despite having created the visual universe that defines every ANYMA production.
Alessio is actively working on AEDEN visual content. The Inferno and Purgatory sequences are documented in the Miro board exports with full creative development history.
A comprehensive sweep of all AEDEN tour coverage found:
This represents the complete erasure phase — moving from minimized credit to no credit at all.
The official AEDEN press materials systematically attribute all creative work to Milleri alone through possessive language:
The "multidisciplinary artist" designation and possessive "his visual language" directly claims ownership over the visual identity created by De Vecchi.
Previously: Published "The artistic vision of Alessio De Vecchi: Anyma's creative force" — calling De Vecchi "the artistic genius behind Anyma" who "co-founded Anyma" in 2021.
Now: Publishes the AEDEN tour announcement calling it "his most ambitious audiovisual project yet" with zero mention of De Vecchi.
The same publication that profiled De Vecchi as "Anyma's creative force" now attributes his visual universe to Milleri alone.
In a GRAMMY.com interview about the Sphere residency, Matteo Milleri discusses the visual production in first person — work that De Vecchi directed as Visual Co-Creative Director:
"The stage where I was performing looked like a quantum computer, making it seem like I was controlling the narrative from beginning to end."
"It was always challenging because... where to produce the kind of content I need, it's a bit like doing a CGI animated movie."
"If other people get inspired by what I created, I'm happy."
De Vecchi is not mentioned anywhere in this article. The use of "I" and "what I created" and "the content I need" in reference to visual production directly appropriates the work of the Visual Co-Creative Director.
In the May 2025 "Artist of the Month" feature, Beatportal reduces De Vecchi from "Visual Co-Creative Director" to merely a "visual collaborator" — on equal footing with Alexander Wessely, who joined 3 years later:
"Anyma created alongside visual collaborators Alessio De Vecchi and Alexander Wessely"
This flattens the hierarchy, obscures De Vecchi's foundational role, and erases the 3-year head start he had on the project.
The Anyma Wikipedia article has a disclosed paid editor (PSPazW) working for Oren Hope, a PR firm employed by Universal Music Group. This paid editor maintains the narrative of Anyma as a Matteo Milleri solo project.
Action taken: COI-compliant edit request filed on Talk:Anyma (February 17, 2026) citing Variety, Billboard, and Sphere Entertainment Co. sources.
The EVA character portfolio page of collaborator Ian Spriggs (who created the hyper-realistic Sphere assets) lists credits as:
"Creative Direction: Alessio De Vecchi and Matteo Milleri"
"Direction: Abhishek Joshi and Alessio De Vecchi"
De Vecchi credited in two roles — co-equal creative direction alongside Milleri, plus hands-on direction.
The official Anyma website (anyma.com) has no team/credits section, no mention of Alessio De Vecchi, no mention of Alexander Wessely, and no acknowledgment of any creative team. This allows the narrative of Anyma as solely Matteo Milleri's creation to persist unchallenged on official channels.
| Phase | Period | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1: Content Removal | Pre-2026 | Articles using "co-founder" or "creator" language systematically removed. NFTmetria ("created 3D music project Anyma") — still 404 after 28+ days, site otherwise operational. Targeted removal. EDM Maniac, 3 SuperRare Magazine articles — all 404. |
| Phase 2: Title Degradation | 2025 | "Co-Creative Director" → "visual collaborator" (Beatportal, May 2025) → complete omission. GRAMMY.com interview (Sept 2025): Milleri discusses Sphere visuals in first person ("I was controlling the narrative", "the content I need") — zero mention of De Vecchi. |
| Phase 3: Complete Exclusion | February 2026 | AEDEN announced as "his most ambitious audiovisual project" across 28+ articles. Press release uses singular possessive ("his visual language"). 0 creative credits to anyone. GRAMMY.com sole credit to Milleri. Wikipedia minimized by Universal-paid editor. |

Key evidence:
| Party | Character IP Ownership |
|---|---|
| Alessio De Vecchi | 50% |
| Matteo Milleri | 50% |
Alessio owns 50% of the intellectual property on the characters (EVA, LILITH, ADAM, SYREN, etc.)
Matteo did campaigns with major brands where Alessio's visual assets were used:
| Brand | Alessio's Assets Used | Payment to Alessio | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bulgari | Yes — custom visual created | $20,000 | Work-for-hire, not licensing share |
| Bose | Yes (visuals in performance) | $0 | No payment |
| Lancôme | Yes (visuals in performance) | $0 | No payment |
Legal question: If Alessio owns 50% of character IP, shouldn't he receive 50% of campaign licensing fees — not just a flat fee for custom work?
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| ANYMA NFT Revenue (estimated) | ~$1,470,000 |
| Alessio's 50% Share | ~$735,000 |
| Alessio Withdrew (for expenses) | ~$463,000 |
| Capital Left in Project (Investment) | ~$272,000 |
During the bootstrap phase (2021-2023), Alessio left ~$272K of his share in ANYMA — plus spent a significant portion of his withdrawals BACK into operations.
Out of the ~$463K Alessio withdrew, a significant portion went right back into ANYMA:
The cycle: Alessio funds productions → Productions generate live show revenue → Alessio gets 0% of live revenue
This was de facto investment, though never formalized in writing.
Even with the current contract, Alessio receives 0% of live performance revenue.
Yet:
After ~2 years without formal agreement, a contract was finally signed:
The pattern: Alessio creates characters → Characters generate revenue → Alessio excluded from financial visibility → Arbitrary payments with no documentation

Counter-argument: Even if specific characters fade, Alessio shaped the entire visual language that made ANYMA successful. The robotic/humanoid aesthetic, CGI integration with live performance — this foundation makes any new work derivative of Alessio's vision.
Alessio authored the ANYMA Bible — the foundational visual style guide that defines ANYMA's aesthetic.
The €100k → €1M+ fee growth happened during Alessio's creative direction. His work is what made the project explode.
Afterlife (Matteo's label/booking entity) may be disbanding.
